Endowment

Building the endowment is the LSU Museum of Art’s greatest challenge and its greatest opportunity. As an institution with a perpetual obligation to priceless collections we invite you to play an essential role in our future growth with an investment in the Museum.

Your gift to our endowment: supports innovative and meaningful exhibitions; elevates the quality of the Museum’s collection; underwrites current expenses for education and programming; and provides a legacy of long-term financial security that enables us to accomplish our mission and maintain our ongoing facilities operations. For further information on endowment gifts or to make a contribution, please contact Farleigh Cook Jackson, Director of Development, at fjackson@lsufoundation.org.

Gift Planning

A bequest is one of the simplest and most popular ways to make a gift and a great way to help the LSU Museum of Art. By including the Museum in your will, you can help ensure the quality of the Museum’s collections and programs for generations to come. Whether you wish to provide general operating income for the Museum or to support a specific department or program, your bequest expresses your lasting commitment to the LSU Museum of Art.

A bequest to the Museum may also help you meet your financial and estate planning goals because it is eligible for an estate tax charitable deduction equal to the entire amount of the bequest.

For more information about making a bequest to the museum, CLICK HERE to visit our Planning Page. Please contact Krista Allen Raney, Senior Vice President for Development at 225-578-4518 or or kallen@lsufoundation.org.

Gifts of Art

You may donate artworks to the LSU Museum of Art during your lifetime or by bequest. Donating artwork, a form of tangible personal property, requires special attention at the LSU Museum of Art. Although a work may be artistically significant, it may not be appropriate for the Museum’s collection. If you are considering donating a work of art to the Museum, you should first contact the curator of exhibitions, Michelle Schulte, at 225-389-7200 or mschulte@lsu.edu.

Your inquiry is confidential and places you under no obligation. We look forward to hearing from you!
