VISITOR GUIDELINES
Food and drink cannot be brought into the galleries. The museum asks that you leave them at the admissions desk.
Professional flash photography equipment and video cameras may not be used inside the museum.
Strollers are allowed in all galleries unless otherwise noted.
Wheelchair is available at the admissions desk.
All backpacks, oversize bags, packages, and umbrellas must be left at the museum’s admission desk.
Other considerations that we ask you to observe while visiting our museum:
Please keep voice levels low so that other visitors are not disturbed.
Works of art are extremely sensitive and are to be visually observed. Please do not touch or lean on works of art.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Cell phone photography is allowed for personal use only, not for commercial purposes. The use of flash is prohibited at all times and in all galleries. Movie and video cameras are prohibited. Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner.
Flash photography, tripods, monopods (including selfie sticks), and other photographic equipment are not permitted in the galleries.
The LSU Museum of Art reserves the right to withhold or withdraw permission to photograph on the premises. LSU Museum of Art staff have the authority to approach and verify the intent of photography and to enforce the Photography Policy.
Photoshoots in the Galleries //// Members of the media or visitors must make arrangements for all photo and video shoots in advance and must be approved by the museum. Many artworks in the galleries have contract obligations and copyrights that need to be considered, so photoshoots are not guaranteed or allowed. All organized photo shoots inside the museum must be pre-approved and supervised by museum staff at all times. To coordinate a shoot and to receive approval, please contact Sarah Amacker, LSU MOA Communications and Marketing Specialist, at samacker1@lsu.edu.
