Guided Group Tours and Field Trips

What better way to enjoy the LSU Museum of Art than with a group of students, friends, or family members? The Museum offers guided tours for schools, clubs, groups, and professional organizations.

  • Due to staff capacity, tours must have a minimum of 10 participants and no more than 25.

  • 45-minute guided tour is $3/person

  • 30-minute guided tour and a 60-minute art activity is $8/person.

  • Tours are available between 10 AM – 12 PM Tuesday–Friday. All ages welcome.

  • For any guided group tours, please book tour two weeks in advance.

We strive to ensure that all individuals can experience the Museum. Accommodations can be made for visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or cognitive disabilities can also be arranged.

Self-Guided Group Visit

If you are visiting the museum for a self-guided group visit and your group exceeds 15 people, please let the museum know in advance the date and time of your arrival. Please email this information to artmuseum@lsu.edu. General admission per individual for self-guided group visits (15 or more people).

Summer 2025 Group Tours (Replacing Neighborhood Arts Project)

The LSU Museum of Art is transitioning the Neighborhood Arts Project into on-site summer tours at the museum. While we are unable to offer off-site outreach this year due to staff capacity and funding, we invite summer groups to visit the museum for a free guided tour and hands-on art activity. These summer group tours are only available to schedule during these dates: June 12–July 31, 2025. Please note that the museum will not provide transportation; groups must arrange their own travel to and from the museum.

This summer’s programming will focus on printmaking, inspired by the exhibitions Carved and Crafted: The Art of Letterpress and In Focus: Artwork by LSU Faculty. Groups can schedule visits between June 12 and July 31, 2025, with availability Tuesday through Friday from 10 AM to 12 PM. Each visit includes a 30-minute guided tour of the exhibitions and a 45-minute printmaking activity.

To schedule a visit, please fill out the form below and select "Summer 2025." We look forward to welcoming your group for a creative and engaging summer experience.
