Join LSU Museum of Art's Stories in Art to read and learn about Dave the Potter and participate in a clay workshop creating face jugs and poetry pots. Dave the Potter by Laban Carrick Hill is the story of enslaved potter, Dave and the poetry he writes on the pottery he creates. This book was a winner of the Coretta Scott King Award.
LOCATION: Delmont Gardens Branch Library, located on Lorraine St. behind Tony’s Seafood, for 5-7 year old age range on September 18 at 10:00 am.
